Dr. Daniel Raviv obtained his M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in Talmudic Studies from Bar Ilan University, writing his dissertation on the connection between the Midrash and the Mishna. His fields of expertise and teaching include the Tanach, Talmud and Jewish Philosophy. He deals with integrating both the academic fields of Jewish Studies and Education. He teaches at the Orot Israel College in Elkana and in the past he has served as Chairman of the Department of Jewish Philosophy and the Head of Education Studies.
